I tied this fly for the Bergman Facebook group as it is March 2024's Fly of the Month.
It was my first time tying the fly and it is far from perfect but a fun tie and a cool little pattern. I have to say the fly wingless would also be awesome!
Recipe:
Tail: dark partridge fibers
Rib: flat gold tinsel
Body: Grey/Brown fur - I used a mix of hare natural and brown Aussie possum.
Beard/Hackle: dark partridge hackle
Wing: dark pheasant slips
