Black Foam Gurgler

Coastal flyfishing in the darkest hours of the day is an amazing experience. When the dark closes in and the sea trouts gets close to the shore, your senses changes and strengthens. The fish moves closer to the surface and chases baitfish and shrimps, and often they attach the prey in the surface. Thats the reason for floating flies can be so effective and super fun to fish and catch the fish on. In this video we have once again the Danish guide and coastal flyfisher Jesper Lindquist Andersen at the vice tying up his favorite-fly for night-time flyfishing at the coast: The Black Foam Gurgler. But the fly is also effective for chasing trouts and other predators in river and streams. An orange version is the “go-to-pattern” for arctic char in Greenland or Alaska for instance, but give it a try in your home-waters.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
