Jon's Biography
Jon Harrang lives on a mini-ranch/fixer-upper in central Oregon's high desert with
his wife and three daughters. He has been tying flies since he was in grade school,
with a special emphasis on dressing both steelhead and Atlantic salmon patterns.
He is relatively new to the streamer game but very interested in improving his skills
and continuing to learn more about this style of fly.

Although he loves the traditional patterns, he also considers himself to be an
innovator who is not afraid to think outside the box. In the coming years he hopes
to develop additional streamer patterns in natural tones that will tempt the lunker
brown trout known to inhabit his home waters, as well as more gaudy dressings
that can be used with success for steelhead and salmon.

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
