Duane's Biography

We here are in the business of tying the most historically accurate, well dressed, longest lasting featherwing streamer flies available on the market today at a fair price. We are located in Maine, the featherwing streamer mecca of the world where we have been fishing, tying and designing featherwing streamers for over 27 years in the pursuit of trout and salmon.

If your priorities are craftsmanship and tradition then we're the tyers for you. We tie each classic pattern as the original tyer intended following material lists and tying steps as closely as possible. The only time we may defer from the original is when material is banned and/or no longer available for purchase.

We are also a full service fly shop, carrying the most complete array of materials needed to dress your featherwing streamers. Our focus is obviously geared towards featherwings, so our material line will consist of mostly flosses, bucktail, streamer hackle and the vast amount of birds needed to dress these flies, which will also work on most salmon flies. We can get just about any other material you're looking for, so if you don't see it, drop us a line.
