As I've been settling into the new fly tying, I've been at the vise more than I have been for the past year. I've found some time to try a few new patterns, and one of them is presented here, the Brown Satyr.

Darren, I don't remember seeing this before. I loved the whole fly. Especially the body and shoulder work. The choice of materials blended quite well!

Thanks Kelly. It's a new pattern as far as sharing it goes. I've been waiting for some big rain so I can try it out again.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
