Notes: The Copper Killer was originated in the 1940's for the pursuit of Atlantic salmon on Canada's east coast. The storied rivers of the Cains River area were the backdrop for the development of this pattern under the experienced hand of Bert Miner. Copper based flies have not always been utilized due to availability of materials, but many of the most successful salmon patterns showcase it. Other patterns developed by Mr. Miner include the Cains River, Blackville, Silver Down-Easter and Squirrel Tail.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
