Notes: Gray Wolf was asked to create a pattern to celebrate the Town of Rangeley, Maine's 150th anniversary. He took on the request and created a marvelous streamer worthy of the event. The fly went on to capture the spotlight with numerous newspape articles in Maine and a showcase on the cover of the Autumn, 2005 issue of Fly Tyer Magazine. Gray Wolf tied several copies of the streamer to present to Governor of the State of Maine, the descendants of the Town of Rangeley's founder, Squire Rangeley, one for a dear friend of his and the original was donated to the Rangeley Area Historical Society. It's not surprising that there were numerous requests for the pattern, so much so that Gray Wolf decided to tie 50 of the streamers as collectors items. He used antique John Willis & Sons hooks, Japanese silk and the best jungle cock for the job. The streamers were framed in rustic wood frames along with a brass plaque to commemorate this special streamer.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
