#138 Robbies - Glenn Peckel

Tied by: Glenn Peckel
Originated by: Forest Robertson
Source: Trolling Flies for Trout and Salmon; Dick Stewart & Bob Leeman 1982 pg.83

Hook: Mustad 7948A #6/8
Tag: Silver flat tinsel
Body: Rear hook: burnt orange floss and ribbed with silver tinsel, front hook: embossed silver tinsel
Throat: Sparse white imitation bucktail
Wing: Sparse yellow imitation bucktail over which four faded medium blue dun hackles with lavender tone
Head: Black

Notes: While this streamer wasn't originated by Ora Smith himself, he did tie and include it in his submission to Leeman and Stewart for their book, Trolling Flies for Trout and Salmon. Forest preferred to have the rear hook of his tandems ride upward, and you may also note the differently colored front and rear hook body. Glenn has put together an amazing set of 12 Ora Smith streamers as his contribution to the Streamers 365 project. We will be auctioning them all together as a set near the end of the project.

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
