Originated by: Don Ordes
Hook: Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer Hook
Thread: Blue 6/0
Butt: Blue thread
Body: silver mylar tubing
Belly: Red polar bear (sparse and short)
Wing: 6 silver doctor blue hackles
Shoulder: Blue peacock breast then a trimmer peacock eye small
Head: Blue
Notes: At first sight I thought Don was breeding some new strain of miniature peacocks, but closer examination reveals what I've seen. the shoulder is constructed using a blue peacock feather set behind a smaller trimmed peacock eye, giving the streamer the look of a much larger fly. The use of color is wonderful, and the faint streak of red suggests this fly recently escaped the jaws of a predator, but not before being marked.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.

Outstanding fly!

I really love the wing, looks pretty soft using 6 nicely curved hackles.
