Tied by: Robert Frandsen
Originated by: Robert Frandsen

Tag: Flat copper tinsel
Rib: Oval silver tinsel
Body: Black silk / floss
Rib: Flat blue mylar tinsel edged on both sides by fine copper wire
Belly: Peacock herl then Silver Dr. blue bucktail
Throat: Silver Dr. blue schlappen
Wing: 2 Silver Dr. blue hackles flanked by black dyed badger hackle
Shoulder: Peacock body blue
Eyes: Jungle cock
Head: Black (optional blue eye or band)

Notes: It's funny that I often hear that there are not many blue streamer patterns out there, but the more I look, the more I see, and I must say I really love the blues in Bob's creation. He started out designing this fly just with the theme of black and blue in mind (hence the name) and created this cracking troller of a streamer. While editing the photograph, my blue Betta fish got quite excited when he glanced at it up on my computer screen, he put on an aggressive show for the streamer. It's unlikely it will be used for catching betta anytime soon, but here is hoping some land locked salmon have the same response.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
