Foam Ant

Here we will be tying a Foam Ant by myself. Many people have tied the same or similar pattern. The Foam Ant is a great option for fishing in both streams, rivers and lakes. The fly catches both brown trout and arctic char. The Foam Ant is simple to tie and totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing. It's really effective pattern in running water when you get a good drift on it.

Pattern
Author: Ívar Örn Hauksson.

Body: 2-3 strands peacock hearl.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
