Gone fishin'

I will be off fishing for the next week. GFF will trot on, but don't expect immediate reactions to comments and emails.

Tomorrow morning my good friend Hans Jacob will be at my door, picking me up to go fishing. Just like last summer we have booked a cabin in the area Hökansnäs in Sweden, and will be fishing from tomorrow night and four days ahead.

I have produced caddis flies, mayflies, Klympens and assorted heavy flies for the trip, and have most of my gear and clothing packed and ready.

The pontoon boat is ready (although pretty rusty) and I'm all wound up. We had a grand time last year with feisty rainbows, and this cold summer holds a promise of equally good fishing.
When I return I'll just touch bases with GFF and then be off for another week of vacation - this time non-fishing, but hanging out with my family - mother, brother, sister and all the kids we can muster.

GFF will be trotting on as always, but don't expect immediate reactions to comments and emails. The article queue is slowly running empty and even though I have tonnes of stuff coming up, most of it isn't quite ripe for publishing. Expect a small report from Sweden, but after that the pace may go down a bit.

Well, who am I to care? I'm going fishing!

Step 20 - trim tail - Trim the zonker tail to a suitable length.
Green Ronker -
Heavy zonkers for deep fishing for large rainbows. Article and report will follow!

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
