Fantastic weeks!
These past couple of weeks have been fantastic on the Danish coast
My family decided to go on a diving holiday in Egypt.
I decided to stay home.
I'm not a big fan of tourist destinations and I'm not particularly into diving. I have decided to stay with one way to spend my spare time.
The end result was that they were off to the warmer countries while I stayed home and took care of the dog, the house and the Danish coast.
A wise decision indeed! The last two weeks have been beyond my wildest expectations regarding weather and fishing. We have had temperatures around 15-18 deg. C, which is significantly higher than a usual first half of October. We have had sun every day, and even the days with Northern winds have been dry and sunny.
The water temperatures are optimal right now - around 12-15 deg. C - and with everything coming together like that I have been able to get out quite a bit. Actually I think that I have been out every day but three the last two weeks!
What you get from a burst like that is of course a high probability of catching something, and yes indeed, I have caught. It would be unfair to complain. A lot of fish, and a few decent fish even. On top of that I managed to hook three mullet, which is a 150% increase of my luck with these fish until now. Didn't land any, but hooking is the first step.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
