Bright future

The bright future of GFF resides in a 36 lbs. baby

If you thought that maintaining a site like GFF was just about tying flies, going fishing, taking pictures and writing about it, you'd better think again. There's a lot of technical stuff that has to be taken care of, and right now this technical stuff has materialized itself in the shape of 36 lbs. of webserver resting right next to me...
3,2 GHz Pentium 4, 1 Gb of RAM, 2*160 Gb of disk space - all for the sake of GFF.
This baby has to be configured with a Debian Linux, all the GFF stuff and much more, and then shipped off to our hosting service in the Northen part of Denmark. My only problem right now is an error message: Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 03:02 Kernel panic! It really says so. And Thomas, our Unix shark, has gone skiing. Well, I'll just have to t tie flies, go fishing, take pictures and write about, won't I?

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
