Notes: Dave created this version of the Colonel Fuller based on the wet fly described in Ray Bergman's Trout. The original, designed by John Shields and named for his father, was tied as a bass fly. The red and yellow colors of the fly are quite effective for many freshwater and saltwater species, producing aggressive strikes from brook trout and salmon in the fall. Mr. Percy Gardner created the original streamer version which features a tinsel body and red shoulder using the Genesis pattern for inspiration.

Dave, your wet fly conversions are SPOT ON!
Love this one. There is something about yellow and red together on a fly that just make it come alive in my eyes.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
