Emerging/Spent LDO

Hook: Hanak H360 BL #12
Thread: UTC 140D Olive
Rib: Fish On Silver Wire 0.14
Thorax: Snowshoe (dyed olive)
Wing: Troutline Campbell Tan CDC

The title may be a little confusing but it is correct, this fly depending on how you work the Snowshoe can be an emerging pattern or a spent pattern. Fly Tying is to my mind all about making the most of the materials you have. The pattern is somewhat simplistic what I want to convey in this video is thinking outside the box with your patterns.

I would be more than happy fishing this throughout an Olive or LDO hatch and be confident of fooling a few fish. As ever please let me know what you think in the comments section below. Stay safe folks and I will see you all next time.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
